Briana Dodson, LPCA

My career started in emergency services dispatch, where I helped people in crisis—but I soon realized my true calling was to connect more deeply with individuals and hear their stories. This shift, along with my own life-changing experience with a therapist, led me to the world of mental health. I graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA).

As a therapist, my goal is to be a compassionate resource for my clients, offering education and tools to help them heal and face life’s challenges with confidence. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. I’m also certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a powerful approach that teaches parents how to manage disruptive behaviors like hyperactivity, impulsivity, and defiance (because, let’s face it, every parent could use a little extra help sometimes!).

I take a holistic approach to therapy, integrating methods like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support the mind-body connection. And, while I’m all about deep healing, I also believe in the power of laughter—when appropriate, of course—because sometimes, a good laugh can be the best medicine!
