Tori Simpson, LPCA
My name is Shatori Simpson, feel free to call me Tori. I graduated with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). I have experience working with various populations within social services, inpatient therapeutic settings, and intensive outpatient settings. I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and provide psychoeducation to help facilitate healthy change.
As a counselor I aim to create a safe, warm environment that allows clients to expressed themselves wholeheartedly. During sessions, we will build upon strengths to navigate challenges, assist with processing difficult emotions and life transitions, and help develop healthy coping skills. I provide empathetic, non-judgmental feedback to establish rapport and help clients reach their goals. When working with children, I engage parents and caregivers during the therapeutic process to help the child develop healthy behaviors, strengthen relationships, and overcome obstacles. I look forward to working with children, families, and individuals on their journey to live happier, healthier lives.
