BLOOM THERAPY LEADERSHIP
Meet the leaders that run Bloom Therapy Center across the Upstate of South Carolina.
Madeline Hawkins opened the first Bloom Therapy Center in 2018 to help parents and children cope with struggles in life. Thankful for her own therapy as a child, Madeline was committed to creating a safe theraputic space for anyone in need. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clemson University and a Master’s in social work from the University of South Carolina, she has worked as a school-based therapist before beginning her training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). After seeing the success of these therapies, Madeline decided to offer it to more families in the Upstate, and Bloom Therapy was born.
Martie Solesbee is a mental health therapist specializing in children and families. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from North Greenville University and a Master's of Science in Clinical Psychology from Francis Marion University. Martie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). She began her counseling career working with maximum-security inmates and individuals with severe substance abuse disorders. After seeing those who needed help but without the means to find it, she joined Madeline to help create Bloom Therapy Center.
Erica Van Wagner is a licensed independent social worker with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. She oversees the clinical practice of Bloom Therapy Center and aids in developing the clinicians in our practice. She herself utilizes a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach as her primary mode of treatment, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
