Lauren Watson, LPC

I have always enjoyed working with and helping others, and my role as a counselor has helped me further this passion by accompanying others in their journeys to change and grow. I received my B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art from Berry College, earned my M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Clemson University, and have worked in a variety of settings that allowed me to develop my approach to counseling. I utilize a Person-Centered approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Reality Therapy to empower my clients to meet their goals, while meeting them where they are in a safe and accepting environment where individuality and acceptance is celebrated and promoted.  I enjoy working with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds and with a variety of presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity, and life adjustments/transitions.  It is my goal as a clinician to instill hope and support while individuals explore themselves and heal.

Areas of Experience:

- Adults and Adolescents

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

-Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

- Person Centered Approach

- Reality Therapy

- LGBTQ+ affirming

- Expressive arts and creative expression are an important part of my practice
