Maggie Hennessy, LPCA
I am Maggie, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). I graduated from Clemson University with M.Ed and Ed.S degrees in Counselor Education. I have had the honor of working with children, adolescents, and adults. I utilize evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am passionate about helping those living with chronic illnesses and their family members who might be affected. Additionally, I enjoy working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, disordered eating, and body image/self-esteem.
I approach mental health holistically, recognizing the intricate connection between the mind and body. This perspective involves not only addressing emotional and psychological issues but also considering physical health, lifestyle, and overall well-being. I aim to support my clients in achieving a balanced and fulfilling life.
I create a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to lead their own therapeutic journey. I am there to support them through whatever they find most helpful, respecting their unique needs and preferences. My goal is to help clients discover their strengths and navigate their challenges in a way that feels right for them.
