Leisha Morrison, LMSW
Hi there, my name is Leisha Morrison and I am a mental health therapist specializing in adolescents and adults encountering behavioral and self-esteem issues, as well as eating disorders. In 2014, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Following graduation, I moved to a tiny town in Texas to work at a therapeutic boarding school for adolescents struggling with behavioral issues. Through my time working with adolescents and their families, I gained a desire to learn more about helping individuals and families better cope with difficult emotions and challenging life circumstances. I returned home to Greenville and went on to obtain my Masters in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
While in graduate school, I worked both in a non-clinical role as a youth mentor for adolescent girls placed in the foster care system as well as a group therapist for patients with eating disorders. The past four years of working with patients with eating disorders have taught me a great deal about the importance of how individuals view themselves and communicate their needs. Additionally, I have gained a variety of experience working in pediatrics and the aging population. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My desire is to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic space for you to explore your emotions, develop new insight, and enhance communication. It is an honor to be part of the Bloom team and I look forward to working with you!
