Kathryn Higdon, LPCA
I started my career as a school counselor in a Title I elementary school. I fell in love with my students and my role, but there were difficulties I could not address due to the caseload and time constraints of my position. I decided clinical practice would allow me to help in the way I wanted to help, so I came to practice at Bloom.
When I was younger, a therapist changed my life by giving me the skills I needed to heal myself. I want to reach children, young adults, and their families in the same way. I believe therapy should be client-driven and action-oriented so clients can develop skills with the supports they need. My specialties include anxiety, adjustment, depression, and grief. I would love to help you and your family in whatever way I can.
