Desiree Bowers, LPC

My name is Desiree Bowers and I am a mental health therapist, specializing in providing therapy to children and families, as well as adults. I graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2006. In 2009, I graduated from Webster University with a Master’s degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling.  At the start of my career, I worked as a school- based therapist in Tennessee and Alabama.  I have also worked as a Group Home Day Treatment Director for adults with mental health disorders and drug/alcohol addictions.

In 2017, my husband and I decided to move back to South Carolina to raise our children and be closer to our family. During this time, I worked as the Early Intervention Program Manager for Greenville Mental Health Center. Throughout my career, I have come to recognize that my purpose in life is to help others be the best possible version of themselves that they can be, no matter their age. I have joined the team here at Bloom, not only to implement the PCIT model and help children and parents strengthen their relationships, but also to help adults find healing and confidence. I enjoy working with such an amazing team, and I am honored to be able to help children and families successfully strengthen their family bonds and relationships.
